Tim L. Waters, LUTCF®

Insurance Professional

My mother met my dad while he was in the Navy serving in the Philippines. They got married and moved back to the U.S. where they had 3 boys. Later, they moved to rural Georgia where my dad was from. Soon after, they divorced while we were still very young. My dad had limited involvement in our lives which made it very hard for my mom. Although we never did without anything and our home was filled with love, I’ve never been shielded from the family finances. My whole life I’ve been working to pay anything that would ultimately relieve the financial burden from my mother including putting myself through college. I understand what having little means and what hard work and discipline can accomplish. My heart’s desire is to help those with similar stories create a legacy that they can be proud of. Let’s retire when we want to, not because we have to because of reasons out of our control. I help people take control of that decision by creating a clear understanding of how you can reach your financial goals and adding protection from anything getting in the way.

I am dedicated to helping individuals and business owners build their financial futures and prepare for what is to come. I have consistently advanced and excelled in this industry, including being recognized as New Agent of the Year 2012 to 2014...and have achieved membership in a New York Life Council since 2011 based upon sales production. Since 2014 I have been a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table and attained Court of the Table honors in 2018. I received my BBA from Brewton Parker College. I have also completed the LUTCF (License Underwriting Training Council Fellowship) designation from the American College in addition to being a member of the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

Not only am I a reliable insurance professional with 17 years’ experience but I am also an active member of my community. Maintaining a strong sense of hometown pride and a solid professional foundation are very important to me. I am involved in the Claxton-Evans County Chamber of Commerce, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a member of Eastside Baptist Church. I also donate my time and athletic talents to PCA as a volunteer assistant tennis coach. Amidst my busy schedule, I also find time to coach sports for my children and teach individual tennis lessons, which I thoroughly enjoy. I am married to the love of my life, Alana, and we reside in Glennville, GA with our three children. I am a member of the choir and we are both members of the church praise team. I also help serve my church by providing professional insight for the betterment of the church.

Today, people have to balance uncertainties in so many different areas from careers, real estate, healthcare costs, rising education costs, aging parents, & longer life expectancy. As we try to navigate all of this uncertainty, it’s more important than ever that we make solid financial decisions. The world has changed so much as I’ve grown up. No longer do we graduate from college, get a good job with a good company, and retire after 30 years with nice pension and social security benefits.

Please let me help you navigate your future.

5 things to know about me…

1- I’m an identical twin, my mother is a twin, and I have 9 yr. old twin princesses. (I also have a stunningly handsome 7 yr. old boy.)
2- I grew up and still reside in a small South Georgia town, so rural communities have always been special to me.
3- A single working mother from the Philippines raising three boys is my reason for my strong sense of family and passion for helping others.
4- Tennis is my favorite hobby.
5- Faith & Family are most important to me and provides the platform for which I conduct my business.
